NewsDemocratic National Front (DNF) presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa today (Oct 2) pledged to donate his salary and allowances to the public if voted into power. "I will donate my monthly salary and allowances in a bid to eradicate poverty and fulfill my duties towards the poor," he promised. The presidential candidate claimed it is the rich who are benefitted by a major portion of the country’s revenue. Further, the DNF candidate pointed out that the voice of the common man has been seldom heard when making decisions at the national level throughout the past. "I will act as a voice for the silent majority who are suffering, lack resources, and living a difficult life," Premadasa remarked.
