NewsFormer minister Athauda Seneviratne and former deputy minister W.B. Ekanayake pledged their support to Democratic National Front presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa today (Oct 2). “We urge that a policy be implemented to punish corrupt individuals irrespective of their parties, religion, or their social status,” he said calling on Premadasa to strengthen democracy in the country. Meanwhile, former deputy minister Ekanayake who had crossed over to the UPFA last year, called on the presidential candidate to implement small programmes to uplift the living standards of the people. "We will extend our fullest support to see your victory," Ekanayake stressed.
