A four-member bench of the Appellate division led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order after the hearing of the leave-to-appeal petition against the High Court order. Manzil Murshid, lawyer of 25 DU students, said that now there is no bar in holding the election. On January 17 last year, the High Court asked the DU authorities to take necessary steps within the next six months to hold the election. Later, the DU authorities filed the leave-to-appeal petition against the HC order on September 16. DU administration-students meetingDhaka University (DU) authorities on Sunday issued invitation letters to the active student organizations in the campus for a view-exchange meeting to be held on Thursday, regarding the amendment of the existing Ducsu constitution.
