Borucki was ejected from Wednesday’s 7-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays after he hit Kevin Kiermaier with a pitch in the bottom of the eighth inning. After the dugouts emptied, Jays pitching coach Pete Walker also got tossed for arguing with the umpires. Jays manager Charlie Montoyo echoed those sentiments by insisting it was just a bad pitch. The Jays and Rays won’t play again during the regular season, but it’s still possible they will face each other before the end of the year.
