Ruto Takes Legal Action Over Nyayo Stadium Standoff

Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has written a demand letter to Sports Kenya following the latter's decision to deny him access to Nyayo Stadium for his final rally scheduled for August 6. UDA argued that Sports Kenya had breached its contract by revoking the booking of the facility by Kenya Kwanza for its final rally. They further claimed that the failure by Sports Kenya to adhere to the demand letter would result in gross monetary loss of the nation's funds. Apart from UDA, Azimio la Umoja announced that it would hold its homestretch rally at Nyayo Stadium on August 6, clashing with the Ruto booking as well as that of the prayer concert.
