Khayelitsha Development Forum (KDF) says they are “disturbed” by the brazen killing that resulted in five people being shot and killed in separate incidents in Khayelitsha on Saturday 16 July. The latest incident, in a spate of shootings around Khayelitsha, saw three men shot and killed at the corner of Nyebelele and Ntangu street in Site C, while the second incident occurred at Tutu Avenue in Makhaza. When City Vision arrived in Site C on Monday morning 18 July, it was life as usual for residents. “At approximately 20:30 three men aged 34, 36 and 50 were gunned down on the corners of Nyebelele and Ntango streets in Site C by suspects who are yet to be arrested. Traut said in an unrelated incident, two men in their 30s were shot and killed in Tutu Avenue, Makhaza, at around 21:35 on Saturday.
