Romanian nationals have been arrested for allegedly importing devices used for card skimming (file photo). Two Romanian nationals who were arrested in Auckland for allegedly importing card skimming equipment, designed to help people obtain others' credit card details, are facing further charges. They arrived in New Zealand in November and have since been charged with importing skimming devices. The Romanian nationals were also charged with possessing a "card skimming device". On Friday, Customs said it recovered ATM skimming devices being manufactured for installation, blank cards and a card writer machine, and tools and equipment to make skimming devices from the address.
