KUALA LUMPUR: A lone robber pulled off a brazen heist at a bank in the heart of the city today, walking away with RM46,000 in cash. The man, armed with a parang, had entered the UOB Bank in Jalan Sultan Ismail at 12.15pm and walked up to one of the counters. At the time, only two workers were in the bank, with the rest out for lunch. It is learnt that a security guard was on duty at the bank, but he wasn’t aware of the robbery taking place. Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Sukri Kaman said the bank staff was unharmed.
