Botica, who owns Auckland restaurants Cafe Hanoi, Xuxu Dumplings and Saan, is working on the reopening of her 10-year-old Vietnamese restaurant Cafe Hanoi at a new location next to the Britomart Hotel on Wednesday. “I have no expectations for the coming months. “We have staff to protect, some of them have been working for us for a decade.”Botica’s company, Comensa Group, has 63 staff, who work across the three Auckland restaurants. Botica said the hospitality industry would probably face another hit in six months because of a skills shortage when work visa extensions expired. We have the same vision for the future but just fewer expectations for this year and the following year.
