The question the politicians of all parties need to be answering is how are they preparing for the economic tsunami that will hit us next year. Economic success in 2020 is a three times greater drop in income than the worst point of the previous global recession. Hagen Hopkins/Getty Images Jacinda Ardern and other politicians need to explain how they plan to tackle an incoming tsunami. At the moment we are at the economic equivalent of the time between earthquake and tsunami when civil defence says you should seek higher ground. Unfortunately there is no economic equivalent of higher ground.
