The Delhi government on Thursday issued a summer action plan to tackle the power crunch situation during the hotter months of the years. The plan primarily focuses on improving the infrastructure for power supply throughout the national Capital. The residents, however, had a different experience to share from earlier years and demanded better actions and not just a plan. Atul Goyal, president of United Residents Joint Action, an umbrella body for as many as 6,000 resident associations in Delhi, refer the action plan as a mere paper plan. However, the summer action plan, if followed, would help the government gather surplus power and will improve infrastructure condition throughout the Capital.
