Religious leaders now want a motion to spearhead electoral reforms urgently tabled in Parliament to kick-start the process. According to nation.co.ke, the religious leaders comprising of Christians and Muslim clergy, said Parliament needs to urgently enact the laws that would address electoral challenges in the country. On Tuesday, the clerics said they the motion would determine how free and fair next year’s polls will be. Jubilee on its part named a team of 11 parliamentarians comprising MPs and Senators to the talks, a move which Cord rejected. "There is no reason that the motion should not be tabled even today,” added NCCK general secretary Canon Peter Karanja said.
