Relief for Kiambu residents as judiciary establishes new High Court

"Kiambu High court station should have been established long ago. More than 11,000 cases pending in Kiambu will now be dispensed faster following the appointment of a High Court judge to man the area. The 36th high court was unveiled on Monday by administrator head of judges Richard Muongo, and is viewed to ease the burden of handling the cases in Nairobi. Justice Joel Ngugi will preside over cases lodged at Kiambu and Thika as well as matters emanating from Murang'a county. Statistics show that many land cases are heard in Nairobi yet they emanate from this county," said Muongo.
