Axed Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has been linked with an instant return to management with Italian giants AC Milan. Van Gaal has managed in Holland, Spain, Germany and England during his career, but has never taken charge of an Italian team. Van Gaal delivered United's first major trophy of the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era when he guided the club to FA Cup success at Wembley in May. It is claimed Andre Villas-Boas and Ronald de Boer are also being considered for the vacant San Siro hot seat.
