Reissued 10-year T-bonds yield risesMANILA, Philippines — The yield on the 10-year Treasury bonds rose in yesterday’s auction as inflation concerns and expectations of higher yield in the US drove the local debt papers higher. The Bureau of the Treasury awarded in full P35 billion in reissued T-bonds, with a remaining term of nine years and nine months, as demand ballooned to P73.589 billion, oversubscribing the sale by more than twice. The rate for the 10-year T-bonds surged by 44.3 basis points to 4.689 percent due to the looming lifting of monetary support in the United States. National Treasurer Rosalia de Leon said 10-year yields went up along with the rates quoted in the US Treasury. The Treasury also auctioned another P5 billion in 10-year T-bonds via the tap window facility.
