MAJORITY of Filipinos surveyed by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) said the vice presidential bid of President Rodrigo Duterte in 2022 would violate the Constitution. Majority of those who rate themselves as poor opposed Duterte's plan to run for vice president next year. This view was highest among not poor with 64 percent, followed by borderline poor at 61 percent and poor at 58 percent. Malacañang also on Tuesday said Duterte believes that his plan to run for vice president is constitutional. Duterte will run under the ruling party Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) led by Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi.
