The manual registration of vehicles will be replaced with a digital system starting June 13, NTSA announced on Wednesday. Fernando Wangila, NTSA director of ICT, said in a press conference that acquiring car logbooks, which currently takes up to a month, will be easier. He said the systems' use will be rolled out in phases beginning with motor vehicle dealers before opened up to the public in the next few months. The implementation of the system is being undertaken by NTSA in partnership with the ICT Authority. The regulator says it will take a matter of minutes to register and transfer ownership of vehicles through the Transport Integrated Management System.
