The opening weekend of the second half was a sweeping success for the Regina Pats. Regina completed an emphatic home-and-home sweep versus the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday night, skating away with a 5-0 decision before 4,909 fans at the Brandt Centre. It came 24 hours after the Pats opened their post-Christmas schedule with a 5-2 decision in Moose Jaw. Although Moose Jaw is among the WHL’s youngest teams, the Pats never get tired of beating their closest geographical rival. He had the best view in the house as Regina outshot Moose Jaw 16-5 in the third period and 41-30 overall.
