In improbable, inexplicable fashion, the Raptors pulled out a franchise-record 12th victory in a row on Wednesday night, stunning the Indiana Pacers 119-118. Down by two, Serge Ibaka, who had a season-best 30 points, nailed a three-pointer and the Raptors survived when a Pacers three-pointer missed and the visitors could not corral the rebound to get another attempt after a series of wild scrambles. For one quarter, it appeared that Toronto was on the way to an easy win. Reserves Justin Holiday (14 points) and Doug McDermott (13) each nearly outscored Toronto (18 points). The Raptors were outscored by 25 points in those 12 minutes, the team’s worst quarter since 2017.
