Foxton fire crews attended a blaze where a quad bike caught on fire while being filled up at a fuel tank. (File photo)A man who left his quad bike running while filling it up had a lucky escape after the bike caught fire, spreading to the fuel tank. Foxton deputy chief fire officer Michael Clement said the quad bike was parked next to a shed as it was being filled up at the fuel tank. The man left the quad bike running while filling it up and it caught on fire, which then caught the fuel tank and shed on fire. Clement said one corner of the shed was burnt and the quad bike and fuel tank were totally destroyed.
