THE spirit of patriotism was evident during the annual National Day aerobics session at Penang City Park this year despite it being a low-key affair. Instructor and Penang Fitness Association president Jeorge Subramaniam, 72, said the SOP was strictly followed during the session on Sunday. Regular participant Chew Kean Moy, 58, said she always looked forward to the group’s aerobics sessions as she could meet many friends. “I have been coming here since 1994 with my mother and sister and I have never missed the annual Merdeka session. “I am not into hiking or jogging but I love these aerobic exercises which give you renewed energy after every session.
