The protesters formed a human chain in front of the National Press Club on Monday afternoon under the banner of ‘Amra Nagorik Samaj’ (We are the society of citizens). The politician was hanged on Nov 22, 2015 for the horrific crimes he committed against humanity to thwart the independence of Bangladesh from Pakistan. The BNP paid tribute to the memory of Salauddin Quader during its national executive committee meeting on Saturday. “This shameless organisation will one day slip into oblivion like Muslim League. No injustice will go unchallenged, especially when war criminals are shown respect in the name of politics,” he warned.
