The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has sent 10 recommendations to the Cabinet about loan write-offs, including classifying all directors of organizations with written off loans as defaulters. In the letter, the ACC urged the government to give directives for the implementation of the recommendations prepared by the commission’s inquiry team. Pranab said the ACC made the recommendations after reviewing five loan write-off processes by AB Bank Ltd, National Bank Ltd, and Bangladesh Development Bank Ltd each in the last 15 years. The recommendations include:1.Including the names of all directors of organisations whose loans are written off in a list of defaulters to be sent to the Credit Information Bureau (CIB). In such a situation, making provision for not writing off loans without filing of cases.
