Lahore: JUI-F has said that it will ensure the freedom and autonomy of madrasas at all costs, the government’s incompetence was evident by the issuance of the ordinance without the President’s signature. JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman met with JUI-F Lahore General Secretary Hafiz Abdul Rehman and discussed the country’s political situation. Maulana Fazl Usmani, Maulana Maqsood Ul Wari, Hafiz Zainul Abideen, Salman Arif, Muhammad Shahid and other party officials were present in the meeting. Maulana Fazlur Rehman also condoled with the family of party leader Qari Muhammad Tahir on his death. Meanwhile, the JUI spokesperson said that the issuance of the ordinance without the President’s signature exposed the government’s incompetence, insulted the President’s office, parliament, politicians and democracy, and made a mockery of the constitution and democracy.
