A complaint has been filed against 44 students of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (Kuet) over the unusual death of Professor Mohammad Selim Hossain, a claim refuted by the family of the teacher. Professor Selim's father Md Shukur Ali Molla filed the complaint at the Khan Jahan Ali police station on Wednesday, said Officer-in-Charge Probir Kumar Biswas on Friday. However, Prof Selim's father has complained that no case was registered in this connection. "We went to Khulna on Wednesday morning and filed a complaint under Section 302/34 of the Penal Code against 44 students in connection with the death. However, the OC said that action will be taken after the investigation without filing it as a statement,” said the father.
