MANILA, Philippines — The Makati City government has rolled out an online pre-marriage counseling service to keep partners safe from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic as they comply with a requirement in the application of their marriage licenses. Makati Social Welfare Department (MSWD) records showed that physical sessions only require a maximum of four couples to prevent mass gathering while there is still the threat of COVID-19. With online counseling, the MSWD can accommodate a maximum of 15 couples per session. Those interested in online counseling may contact the MSWD Family and Men’s Welfare Section at 8870-1644 and provide their email address and contact information.
