Tour guides and escorts in the city could receive a free virus testing from the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong next week. Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Edward Yau Tang-wah said the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong will organize a one-time free virus testing for all tour guides and escorts in the territory next week. Yau said he had already noted some travel agencies arranging their own virus testing for staff to regain citizens’ confidence signing up for their local tours. “The free testing organized by the council will most likely be within next week. I urge practitioners not to pass themselves off with old testing results, putting the whole industry at risk,” Yau added.
