Prajwal Revanna, grandson of former Prime Minister H.D. Mr. Prajwal was among the aspirants for the party ticket from the Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency in Bengaluru. Mr. Gowda had openly expressed his wish to send Mr. Prajwal to Parliament from Hassan in 2019. Speaking to presspersons, Mr. Prajwal said he would not contest this time, as per his grandfather’s wish. Asked about his contesting the Lok Sabha polls next year, Mr. Prajwal said his grandfather wanted him (Prajwal) be in Parliament.
