Our bureauCalcutta: The Left Front's six-hour general strike on Friday has added to the stress of writing an examination for hundreds of CBSE Class XII and 80,000-odd Calcutta University students. The final paper of the CBSE Class XII examination, physical education, is scheduled to start at 10.30am, coinciding with the strike. More than 80,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students of Calcutta University will also write their examinations from morning. Around 200 Class XII students from two schools will appear for the physical education paper at Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir. At Mahadevi Birla World Academy, 150 examinees, including regular and external candidates, will write the paper.
