Now that the alcohol is banned, drug barons have started to expand theor base in the state. According to recent reports, youths have also started consuming heroin now alongwith charas, ganja and opium. The drug barons have been amassing huge profits as one packet of heroin costs Rs 150 and their daily consumers are the youth of the area. He also said that local police have already arrested a lot of drug barons and further investigations are underway. Due to the liquor ban in Bihar, police regularly raid establishments suspected of housing drinkers of liquor or sites where they are illegally peddled.
