Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked on Sunday about a range of issues, including e-cigarettes, single-use plastic and the need to make festivals inclusive, in his monthly radio broadcast Mann ki Baat. Raising concerns over pollution, the PM again appealed to the public to shun single-use plastic from October 2. "It is a matter of pride not only for India but for the entire world today. While we are celebrating 'Gandhi150', our 130 crore countrymen have pledged to be rid from the menace of single-use plastic. I am confident that you will all be a part of the campaign for liberation from the menace of single-use plastic on October 2," he added.
