Bangladesh Nationalist Party winner, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami rival exchange greetings in Rajshahi-3, signaling post-election political harmony. The victorious BNP-nominated candidate, Advocate Shafiqul Haque Milon, was warmly congratulated with flowers by his rival candidate, Professor Abul Kalam Azad of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. Abdur Razzaq, Member Secretary of the Paba Upazila BNP, said, “Courtesy and empathy in politics strengthen democracy. Advocate Shafiqul Haque Milon, contesting with the “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol, won with 176,318 votes. His nearest rival, Professor Abul Kalam Azad, contesting with the “Scales” symbol, received 137,927 votes.
