He also expressed special thanks for the constructive support, advice, and cooperation extended by Jamaat-e-Islami during the tenure of the interim government. “I expect that under your leadership, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will play an active role in the national parliament and political arena as a constructive and responsible opposition force,” he said. Prof Yunus prayed to Almighty Allah for Shafiqur Rahman’s personal good health, long life, and overall well-being.
