Police smash 3 drug rings, seize RM5.3 mil worth of drugs


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have crippled three drug syndicates with the arrest of nine individuals, including two Nigerian men, during separate operations in three states this week. During the operation, he said, police arrested two men, aged 36 and 42 respectively, and seized 87.4 kg of ganja worth RM262,000. On Tuesday, police nabbed another five individuals, including two women, during midnight operations in Pasir Mas, Rantau Panjang and Pasir Puteh, Kelantan. Mokhtar said from January 2015 to July this year, police have arrested 120,876 individuals including 5,587 foreigners over drug-related offences. He will be succeeded by former Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh.
