KUALA LUMPUR: A 14-year-old tahfiz school student was ordered to be sent to the Sentosa Probation Hostel in Sentul for a year for outraging the modestly of a six-year-old boy two months ago. Magistrate Haslinda A. Raof meted out the sentence in a closed-door proceeding after the accused pleaded guilty at the Ampang magistrate’s court here today. The accused, clad in a blue shirt, was calm when he was ushered into the courtroom by policeman and his father. However, the court has ordered the youth be sent to the probation hostel under Section 91(1)(e) of the Child Act 2001 as he is still underaged. According to the fact of the case, the victim’s mother went to the school and saw her son and the accused coming out of a storeroom together.
