TORONTO — Police detained 90 people and seized hundreds of kilograms of marijuana Thursday in an abrupt strike on the city’s pot dispensaries. Police raided 43 dispensaries across Toronto in the coordinated, lunchtime bust — dubbed “Project Claudia” — out of a suspected 88 dispensaries in the city. “Project Claudia is not an attack on the lawful production, distribution or purchasing of marijuana for medical purposes,” Saunders said. The City laid a further 79 charges on property owners for zoning and licensing bylaw infractions. Only one property did, according to Saunders, and the remaining 43 were raided Thursday, including clusters on Queen St. and Danforth Ave., as well as in Kensington Market.
