A 25-year-old man was arrested after taking multiple vehicles, spurring a car chase spanning from Porirua to the end of the Kāpiti Expressway in Peka Peka. STUFF The pursuit ended near Peka Peka. The vehicle was stopped on SH 1 near Peka Peka about 9.30am and the man arrested. A reporter at the scene at the end of the pursuit, near Peka Peka, said a black SUV had hit the median barrier. Hunter said the driver was trying to slow down and his car appeared to be "jack knifing, going backwards and forwards" before he hit her car.
