Police were looking for a youth who broke into a New Brighton shop and started a fire while wearing a cat mask. An alleged arsonist who broke into a shop and started a fire while wearing a cat mask was a 12-year-old boy. Emergency services were called to a suspicious fire at the 123 Mart in the New Brighton mall about 11.40pm on Sunday. Police said the offender smashed the door and the fire destroyed numerous items.
