Photo: SuppliedThe slaying of a miniature horse in Waitati earlier this year remains unsolved, but Dunedin detectives continue to actively investigate the case. Miniature horse Star was stabbed 41 times in the seaside community of Waitati late on Sunday February 17. Star's owner, Mandy Mayhem-Bullock, earlier urged people to ignore rumours about who may have killed the miniature horse. Dr Gillespie had seen nothing like it in his long career, he said at the time. "I've been doing this for close on 40 years and this is just the worst, most distressing thing I've ever seen."
