SERDANG: Police have arrested nine men in connection with a spate of bitcoin mining equipment thefts worth about RM1 million. Police conducted six separate raids, which started on Feb 23 and ended on Feb 26, in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak. “Based on the reports, 153 bitcoin machines, including power generators worth RM1 million were reported stolen in the district between Jan 17 and Feb 15. Some of the bitcoin machines, including power generators which were recovered. They are believed to be the sellers, middlemen and buyers,” he told reporters at the Serdang district police headquarters today.
