Shuttlers refuse to meet media

SINGAPORE: Malaysian professional shuttlers Zulfadli Zulkiffli and Tan Chun Seang today refused to speak with the media at a hotel where the Badminton World Federation (BWF) were holding a match-fixing hearing. The world body have yet to officially name the two players allegedly linked to match-fixing. The only shuttlers who have been showing up at the hotel in Singapore since Monday were 2011 world junior champion Zulfadli and 2010 Thomas Cupper Chun Seang. Although the second half of the hearing was done by 4.30pm, BWF officials also refused to make any press statements. Both the shuttlers are being probed over six different charges from six tournaments between 2013-2016, and could be banned for life if found guilty.
