KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested a businessman who is suspected to have received RM19 million to stop an investigation on Penang’s RM6.3 billion undersea tunnel mega project. Sources said the company paid out the RM19 million in stages in the period of July and August last year. “MACC had launched an investigation into the Penang mega project. “The RM19 million was already completely paid out. So far, four people, including a Datuk Seri, two Datuk and a female engineering consultant had been detained to assist the investigation.
