Police have held over 200 Rohingya refugees from various parts of the country and sent them back to the camps in Cox’s Bazar, the inspector general of police has said. “But considering their humanitarian needs, we returned them to the camps.”The IGP urged citizens not to rent accommodations to the refugees. “Right now the Cox’s Bazar district administration is monitoring all the aid going to the refugees and the chances of such a thing happening is very low,” he said. In Chittagong, Patiya Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sheikh Neyamatullah told the Dhaka Tribune that 115 Rohingya refugees were detained from various places in the upazila on Sunday night. We sent them back to the camps in Cox’s Bazar today [Monday],” the officer said.
