Rohingya crisis: Another 20 tonnes of Indonesian aid arrives in Bangladesh


India has sent 107 tonnes, Iran 40 tonnes, Morocco 14 tonnes and Malaysia 12 tonnes. Indonesia’s first aid flight, which arrived on Aug 14, carried 20 tonnes of rice, tents, blankets and dry food. Two more flights arrived on Aug 15 carrying blankets, sugar, water tanks, family kits and 10 metric tonnes of rice. The third pair of flights arrived on Aug 16 carried 20 tonnes of rice, blankets and dried foods. According to Indian Ambassador to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla, the country has pledged 7,000 tonnes of aid for the Rohingyas.
