About 25 sub-Chiefs and family heads of the traditional area have gathered at his palace to ensure that the late chief is buried according to the traditions and culture of Busunu. A spokesperson for the chiefs, Langateri-wura Salifunu Sulemana said people responsible for the burial of the late paramount chief have assumed their role to ensure that he is laid to rest according to the rites and customs of the Gonja tradition. Chief Nungbaso II according to family sources, suffered from a prolonged illness until he was rushed to hospital last week where he was placed on oxygen and later pronounced dead by medical officers at the facility. Politicians, traditional rulers and people from all walks of life are expected to arrive in Busunu in the coming days to pay their last respect to the late Paramount chief of Busunu.
