For me, the joy of being a newspaper photographer is being able to be there for life's greatest moments – the beginnings, the endings, the celebrations, the challenges and the inspirations. As a newspaper photographer, I don't get to stage my shots. When I think about it, photography and life are about balance and flow. Photography, like life, is about moments, the micro moments. Photography is the art and physical skill of being in the right place at the right time and recognizing the significant moments when they occur.
