PETALING JAYA: Rumours of a supposed increase in fuel prices in February are unverified, said the Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia (PDAM). Its president Datuk Khairul Annuar Abdul Aziz told The Star Online that the association is aware of a message on the so-called fuel price increase circulating on social media, but said it is unverified. He however added that PDAM is anticipating an increase in fuel prices in February. As of January, RON95 petrol was priced at RM2.10 per litre, RON97 at RM2.40 and diesel at RM2.05. The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry has set fuel prices on a managed float system since Dec 1, 2014, following the removal of subsidies.
