KUALA LUMPUR: Penang folk were left stunned by the flash floods which crippled parts of the state following prolonged rain which began yesterday afternoon. One resident, who only wished to be known as Susi, from Pauh Indah, Permatang Pauh, considered yesterday’s downpour as one of the worst she had experienced. She said the rain began just before midnight and continued for more than five hours. A few months ago we did experience heavy rain but yesterday's was one of the worst. I was driving and noticed that some roads heading towards the Juru toll plaza were submerged in flood water.
