KOTA KINABALU: Three Thai women have been rescued from the sex trade after police raided the hotel room they were being kept in while waiting for clients on Saturday. The women, aged between 21 and 23, had legal travel documents and had arrived in Sabah on Oct 26. Sabah CID chief Datuk Salehhudin Abd Rahman said the women were rescued at about 2.30pm following a tip-off. "Two local men aged 28 and 32 were later nabbed following the rescue of the three women," he said. In another raid the same day, an undocumented Filipino woman was nabbed for alleged soliciting via social messaging app WeChat.
