One person is dead after they were struck by a VIA Rail train in Mississauga during evening rush hour on Thursday. GO Transit spokesperson Anne Marie Aikins said a person was struck at Clarkson GO Station just after 5 p.m.Peel paramedics confirmed that the pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene. However GO Transit says there will not be able to service Clarkson GO by train. Eastbound passengers are advised to take GO bus service from Oakville to Clarkson. Westbound passengers that need to get to Clarkson are advised to take a bus from Port Credit to Clarkson.
